Peter Land
Peter Land is senior vice president, Communications for PepsiCo Beverages Americas (PBA). In this role, he is responsible for all external brand and internal communications for PepsiCo's beverage businesses in North and South America. Several brands with annual revenues of more than $1 billion comprise this division, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Tropicana and Aquafina.

He also has responsibility for expanding the company's consumer relations capabilities and platforms.

He began his PepsiCo career in September of 2009 and serving for two years as Chief Marketing Officer for the Breeders' Cup, where he was responsible for advertising, digital, direct, television, sponsorship, licensing and public relations. Prior to that, he was a global managing director at Edelman, the world's largest independent communications firm. He led the consumer, sports, entertainment and multicultural practices.

He came to Edelman after senior level marketing positions at the NBA (New York) and Kraft Foods (London). Before moving into marketing communications, he was a sportswriter at the Washington Post.

A native of New London, Conn., Peter earned a B.A. in History from Duke University.

He serves on the boards of the UJA New York Chapter, the National Sports Marketing Network and the City Parks Foundation. Peter teaches a graduate school course in sports marketing at the Stern School of Business (NYU) and serves on the school's Entertainment Marketing advisory board. He lives in Manhattan with his daughter Sara and son Cole.
