| In April 2008, Cheryl Williams launched the first BlackBerry Facebook page and became the first member of the RIM Social Media Marketing team. Today, she manages overall strategy for BlackBerry’s 3.5 million global fan base across 17 Facebook pages, 5 Twitter accounts, a YouTube channel, the Inside BlackBerry blog and my.blackberry.com. BlackBerry is currently ranked 12th on the Altimeter Group’s list of the most socially engaged global brands. Cheryl is a 13 year digital media veteran with a broad background in B2B, B2C and e-commerce marketing. Prior to RIM, Cheryl served as Associate Director, Online Marketing at Bell Canada where she managed integrated online campaigns for the Enterprise Business market. Cheryl is a Canadian Marketing Association certified Online Marketing professional and in addition to her “day jobs” she has spent 5 years teaching in Ryerson University’s Advanced Web Designation program. |
