Ben Boyd
Ben Boyd is executive vice president and director, U.S. Corporate Practice, overseeing Edelman’s U.S. corporate practice with an FY10 revenue of $32M.

He is the global client relationship manager for Edelman’s GE account, overseeing the relationship, with teams in 10 markets worldwide. Most recently, Boyd and team are leading an effort to extend the company’s reputation in the health care arena based on the GE’s healthymagination campaign. Focusing on the issues of cost, quality and access, healthymagination aims to engage stakeholders in dialogue around policy and technology as drivers of solutions to many of the world’s health care challenges.

Boyd specializes in reputation management, corporate communications and issues management and has managed a diverse portfolio of clients; in addition to GE, Boyd is involved in Edelman’s work for B+L, Bank of America, Business Roundtable, Pfizer, AT&T, and Starbucks among others.

Previously, Boyd served as assistant to the president, director of communications at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), where he managed all aspects of the union’s engagement and positioning strategies including the national visibility campaign for SEIU President, Andy Stern, as well as the union’s earned, paid and new media strategies. He also served as director of communications for SITA, one of the world’s largest providers of IT resources for the air transport industry. Prior to his work at SITA, Boyd was vice president of Marketing and Communications for barnesandnoble.com in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Wake Forest University.
