Greg Gable is senior vice president and head of public relations for San Francisco-based Charles Schwab Corporation. Under Greg’s lead since 2004, the public relations group manages all external public relations for the corporation and it’s subsidiaries including reputation and issues management, product and services support, executive visibility, corporate publications and corporate website. He also leads the company’s Social Media Steering Committee.

The Charles Schwab Corporation is a leading provider of financial services, with more than $1.8 trillion in client assets. The company provides a full range of securities brokerage, banking, money management and financial advisory services to individual investors, independent investment advisors, and employers. Greg joined Schwab in 1997.

Before joining Schwab in 1997, Greg was director of strategic planning at The Understanding Business, a San Francisco-based communications consulting firm. Prior to that he was vice president of communications at Age Wave, Inc. the leading consulting and marketing services resource on the business, social and communications implications of an aging population. Greg began his communications career at public relations firm Porter Novelli, in Washington, DC managing national public relations programs for government, industry and not-for-profit associations.

Greg has an MA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School of Communications, and a BA in American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
